ACCIONA is a leader in the water treatment sector and one of the few companies with a considerable background in the application of RO technology in the desalination of sea water and brackish water. The role of ACCIONA in the project, is being the technology integrator, and this technical role is the one that pushes the company to be as well the project leader.
LIKUID is a young technology based company which dedicates all its efforts since its creation to the research, development, manufacturing and commercialization of ceramic membranes and filtration systems for effluent treatment in the water, wastewater and industrial sector. LIKUID is one of the few European key players working in the field of ceramic membrane filtration in the O&G market. The main general tasks to be developed by LIKUID in the project are related to the optimization of the ceramic ultrafiltration technology for oily wastewater treatment.
BWA is a technology-led speciality chemicals company whose only business is providing sustainable solutions to best resolve its customers’ water treatment challenges. BWA’s brands are well-known, widely respected and used in over 80 countries, with specialized applications for industrial water treatment, desalination, and oil & gas, just to name a few of the sectors of the water treatment markets it serves. Within INTEGROIL, BWA intends to focus on the development of “green”, environmentally acceptable antiscalants and biocides that can be employed in for reducing/avoiding fouling problems.
REP is a company specialised in the research, development, formulation and marketing of chemical products designed for the petroleum sector (Drilling & EOR activities, Oil & Gas Production and the Environment). From searching for new formulations to shipping products to customers, REP controls the entire production chain in-house. This end-to-end control enables responsiveness in terms of deadlines, flexibility in production, and high product quality. With the INTEGROIL Project, REP will be involved in developing a specific range of product for the water treatment to offer this new technology for our customers using it all around the world.
APLICAT is a Spin-Off of the Rovira i Virgili University from Tarragona, Spain. APLICAT offers key in hand solutions, solving environmental and industrial necessities by means of Catalytic technologies. In the INTEGROIL project, APLICAT will be involved in the application of Catalytic Wet Air Oxidation Technology (Hidromat, CWAO) for the removal and mineralization of dissolved organic compounds from Oil and gas wastewater.
URV, through the Research group CATHETER, is specialized in the application of Advanced Oxidation Processes for wastewater processes. They study the removal of organic contaminants from industrial and urban waste water, mainly recalcitrant to biological treatment, and also micropollutants or emergent contaminants, by catalytic advanced oxidation processes such as catalytic ozonation, heterogeneous Fenton and photocatalysis. URV will be involved in the application of Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) for the removal of (mainly) dissolved organic compounds from wastewater, with the aim of mineralizing this organic fraction or increasing biodegradability/ decreasing toxicity of the effluent.
2.-0 LCA consultants is an internationally oriented consultancy company dedicated to Life Cycle Assessment and related tools such as Integrated Product Management. 2.-0 LCA consultants initiate and take part in non-profit activities at the highest technical level, e.g. in ISO, SETAC and UNEP. LCA consultants will be responsible for delivering an environmental life cycle assessment of the technology developed in the project.
TÜPRAŞ is Turkey’s largest industrial enterprise, with 28.1 mn ton crude processing capacity among its 4 refineries, and the 7th biggest refining company in Europe. In the project, TÜPRAŞ will specify the wastewater reuse requirements for a refinery wastewater. It will also provide discharge parameters which determined by national environmental regulations. On the other hand, reused water standards is the most important issue because treated water is utilized by refinery units and it should comply with standards. TÜPRAŞ will collaborate with other partners on application scenarios.
EDS is a Europe-wide organization made up of individuals and organizations (corporations, universities, research institutes, government agencies) concerned with desalination and water treatment. EDS information centre include research, applications, consulting, contracting, operation and maintenance, manufacturing, marketing, economics and legislation. EDS has 50 years’ experience of disseminating information, building up a network of information, bringing industrialists, scientists, researchers and government together. Due to this baggage, EDS will be in charge of dissemination of information through conferences, training courses, scientific literature search and publications.
IT21 core development activities lie in the field of user‐machine‐communication for sensor networking applications with focus on innovative industry systems and service integration, interface design and implementation. IT21 has a strong experience in system design on different levels including HW/SW‐interface definition, protocol specification, wireless remote short and long range communication, and user interface realization including data and knowledge representation and visualization aspects. In INTEGROIL, IT21 will work in the development and implementation of remote data access technologies, the implementation of data broker for data collection from multiple sources and the visualization of data/advanced decision and web-based application for remote morning and control systems of DSS.
